cobraman Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I sent an email to them yesterday telling about the problems I found with the MPC Allison Mercury stock car I have been working on. It was a polite letter just stating about bent and warped parts, a couple of deformed tires and decals that broke apart when removed from the water. I did not ask for any replacement parts and in fact told them I wanted none. Like you guys I am a modeler and will find a way. Tires from parts box, coat the balance of decals before using them and used some aluminum tubing to replace the 2 piece exhaust pipes that were messed up. Anyway, I got an email from them today telling me they were sending me out a new kit. You can't ask more than that of a company ! Thanks to Round2 for standing behind their product.
disabled modeler Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Now that is customer service at its best.
michaelbaskett Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I'm not surprised at all....I know a few of the guy's who work there, and they are Car/ModelKit nuts just like us....Bill...
louie Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Excellent to hear about this. I'm a firm believer in the polite part as it will always go a long way with most people and places. I'm very happy Cobraman that you got a very positive response to the issues with your kit. It also shows how much Round 2 appreciates their customers. Very glad that you posted this as it shows how good of a company that Round 2 is and I have said it once and I'll say it again "Round 2 you have my business forever ". Thank you. Jeff
wayne swayze Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Good for you Ray, for taking a polite way to let them know your problems. And kudos to Round 2 for their responce ! I like to hear good things about this hobby !
Harry P. Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 What if the replacement kit has the same problems?
Tom Geiger Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 What if the replacement kit has the same problems? Aren't we a ray of sunshine!?
Harry P. Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I'm just saying that the problems in that kit were not unique to that particular box. For example, if the decals were krap, then the entire run of decals for that kit would most likely be krap, as they were all printed at the same time, in the same place, using the same paper and inks.
cobraman Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 I agree Harry but it was still a nice thing to do. I won't be building the new kit as I have had enough with the one I am working on. However, perhaps the tires would be ok and the parts not as bent or warped.
XJ6 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Well that just May Explain why they are giving the Kits away ?
