An update.....

I found a better solution to the pulley belts, got the rails for the chassis extended still need to clean them up, and got the sleeper rough build done.

Very cool , a genuine custom sleeper in the works.

My I offer a suggestion - make some inside angle braces with styrene to keep it from bowing or add a second layer.

I think those signs are about .020" in thickness and pretty flexible.   Keep up the good work !

The styrene angle braces are a great idea. When I saw how flimsy it was I started framing it with skinny popsicle sticks. Also made some more progress on the engine and chassis:

I like the custom sleeper also, and agree that.020 is to thin if it's going be an empty box, but if it's furnished it's worked fine for me. If it's going to be empty I usually use .040. You have some nice work going on there

The frame came together nicely Aaron.

What did you come up with for your fan belt material?

Wife found some thinner rubber bands from Doller Tree, there's two thicknesses. Just go with the thin ones. They were specifically with the black hair care products.

The interior is going to be furnished. I'm hoping I can get the scale right on the furnishings.

Aaron - I have some sleeper furnishings and bunks. If you want them I would be happy to send them to you.

Drop me a p/m if interested.
