Built this awhile ago to haul my 69 Dart Race Car.

I Started it second but finished it first.

I guessed on how one was built (no Internet back then)

Dug throw my parts box and found the oldest Dodge grill I had to look more period correct.

The Dart was suppose to have been race a few years.

With my trusty 1/24 ruler I drew up some plans and began.

The bed sides are made out of an old Shower surround Plastic I got from a friend.

The doors are just cut and glued on with 1/2 round grooved to look like hinges.

Built a Warn Winch to be able to load up the car.

The Wheels came from the 95 issue of the Dodge Duallie and I filed off the Rams head on them.

This was a follow up on my TowTruck

I was going to build all sorts of tow rigs when I was a Driver..

You know MoparKid, I have no idea what cab that is.

I have a box full of Dodge Truck parts and there are no Emblems this one.(must be the red express)

Guess I'll have to scratch the underside of the body to see what color it was.

Now you got me wondering.

And

Raul

I can't get tired of it till I finish the Dart it suppose to haul (when I find out where it is)

And where did you come up with a Custom 50 Stude?

That is Way cool..

The Funny thing is, The 63 Dodge that is on it.

I got from my Old boss when I showed him my TowTruck

(He runs Speeds and my boss at the time)

he found out I did Models.

I guess he thought I'd give him the TowTruck (not)

He gave me a few built ones.

Not bad either.

Is this the one you're refering to?

If so, it's from the Danbury Mint. Production was limited to '06. If you want one now you can see if DM still have any for sale, but you'll probably have to try to get one from eBay.

Thanks for the compliments!!

I bought mine from Danbury Mint. Yes, I also looked this evening and there are none on eBay. If you really want one, call DM. They stopped production in '06, but they "may" still have some.

Looks good! ...for a Dodge... ewwww haha just kiddin'!

Grrrrrrrrr ;)

Being a Mopar person myself,

My Boss had a Cherry 70 El Camino.

I liked it and it looked Great.

I said It look Great..... For a Chevy, I'd own one.

He didn't think it was a compliment or that funny.

I thought It was a Very good Compliment from a Born into Mopar Kind've guy.

Thanks.

(ya, A little slow in reply, it faded quickly and follows a build how-to. :D )

Where's the '69 Dart it was built to haul? Looks like a '62-'63 on it in the photo. Not complaining, or anything- I do like those oddball early '60's Mopes!

Thanks alot all, it was a Fun project.

Reminds me why I do models.

I just wished my Square I used (at the time) was really square.

davezinnstalled L-700 ramp truck project

Thanks,.

now you can get back to work on it, You have a lot of Race cars to haul. ;)

midnightprowlerThat is awesome! You are a very talented builder!

Thank you and Thanks for sharing your builds.

crazyjim: A most excellent model. Hope you don't mind if I steal some of your ideas for my car hauler?

Steal away, I just guessed how how big it should be by figuring out how big of a car it would haul and what car haulers I've

seen. I've seen the U-Haul ones but thought they were too tall, they had a full size utility tool box then ramps added.

marcos cruz: Very cool Rodney, I have to someday do something like that to transport some of my finished models!!!

I'm Afraid that you'll need one of those Huge Inclosed Car Haulers for all you builds.

My Old Boss gave me some model cars yrs ago. it is a 63 Dodge/Plymouth Something or other ?

Mmm, I don't have a boxed one.
