Harry P. Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 (edited) Is this the real thing? It doesn't matter whether it's a REAL Cobra or a reproduction...as long as it's a 1:1 scale car, it's real. Or is it??? The answer: REAL! Edited April 4, 2008 by harrypri
scubadiver411 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I would have to go with.... model.... on this one. STEVE ALLEN
sjordan Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I haven't seen a plated kit and I think it would be too expensive to have one done well in the aftermarket, so I'll say it's real – either the original all-aluminum Cobra or a replica.
george 53 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I think its a model, guys.Looks like a linen table cloth underneath it, but I have been known to be wrong before!
kevinm Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Real. Although I don't see a cameraman or camera in the reflection, The roll bar and exhaust look too real. -kevin
Nick F40 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 well doesn't Superformance make an all aluminum body in this finish? real for me
kelson Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Thank god a normal looking car this week, gonna go with' real'on this one.
RodneyBad Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Well. I'm gonna have to Vote Model. Had a friend that polished out a metal kit and it looked that good. But I'm probley wrong. A Really Tough call.

horsepower Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Is this the real thing? It doesn't matter whether it's a REAL Cobra or a reproduction...as long as it's a 1:1 scale car, it's real. Or is it??? The answer FRIDAY! I would say that it's a real one, I saw a1:1 reproduction at last years "Kool April Nites" in Redding, by the way it's coming the 13th thru the 20th of April. The week after is the "Hotorarama" at the fair grounds in Anderson will be the weekend after, & it has a model contest/show.
Don B Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I don't see any valve stems on the wheels. I say diecast.
FORDSVTPARTS Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't see any valve stems on the wheels. I say diecast. Exactly what I noticed, I vote model.
VW Dave Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't see any valve stems on the wheels. I say diecast. I believe the original knockoff Halibrands had the stems in by the spokes, so they wouldn't be as visible as newer aftermarket wheels....I voted 'real.'
Harry P. Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 ok, that's better. At least I fooled some of you this time! It's REAL! Next ROM coming MONDAY!
