This is another stalled project that is hard to believe how old it is.  I started this more like 30 years ago....just shy of the 3 decade mark!!
It is a model of one of two cars that ran at Hickory and Metrolinia speedways in the 1970. The other car was #4 and between the two they won 30 of 41 LMS NASCAR races in 1974 alone. They were 240 CID 6 cyl cars while the Chevy guys ran 283 V8's. I attended most of those races that year....and LOVED these cars....to me true American race cars that could be run competitive by the average Joe.
These stalled as there was no 240 CID, easy to get, and I fussed over details asI had little info on the cars. Now I just finished it up....warts and all. Testors paint.....painted MANY years ago. Penngwen Hobbies decals, PPP wheels and tires AND roll cage. I do like the finished model.....should have done so years ago.....can't take another 30 years for the #4 car!!! thx
