  • Jan , what state plates are on the back of your Road Runner?

Massachussets plate. Click on the pic, and it gives you the option to zoom... at least in Google Chrome.

Beautiful build! Brings back fond memories.

My real '75 RR was brown! Had all the black graphics , a tan interior and a 360 under the hood.

Loved that car.

That sounds like a nice color combo.

It's looked like that without the zooming. I am surprised anybody but me would use a Mass plate LOL.

It was a sharp looking car for sure!

It caught my eye right away. I bought it nearly brand new in Yuma, AZ when I went TDY to the USMC Air Station there.

Jan....  I like it for many reasons one being its different. I have the 78? 4 square headlight promo as well as the old buildup from my childhood days that needs restored...always did like the shape of these cars with the round headlights.  Very cool to be able to see the old box art again..thanks.

They were nothing but Furys with Road Runner badging. It was a one year only deal... after that, Road Runners were re-badged Volares until the bitter end (1980?).

Except in the world of MPC. They also offered a Fury based Roadrunner for 1976! Why they did this I'll never know? With Volare being the big thing it was that year, and Plymouth showing Volare Roadrunners right away. That's a mystery to me.

And your right Harry, Plymouth did offer Volare Roadrunners right through 1980. Thankfully they had the sense to end it there. So we didn't have to see a Reliant K car version.

My favorite Road Runner, probably because that was one of my first models back in the day. I managed to find one for not too much money a few years ago, and it's sitting on the shelf, waiting for me to do it justice.
