squirrel886 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) I was sitting in traffic, when I got this idea. So I went home, cut the back half off of the front crossmember, and glue in a piece of styrene to lower the front suspension. Then I Z'd the rear suspension and modified the floor pan. I'm going to have to modify the radiator to get it to fit, and notch the underside of the frame rail to get the spring to clear. Edited March 25, 2016 by squirrel886 spelling
mrm Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 NIce. I hope you are not going to "rat" this one out. It looks like a very good foundation for a nice, clean, modern rod.
squirrel886 Posted March 26, 2016 Author Posted March 26, 2016 To me rat rodding is more than a faded paint job, and being slammed to the ground. It's a mix of unlike materials combined together w/ "flow", and it all works out together. This project is just going to be lowered hot rod someone built. If if I was going to rat rod it, I would have used screening for the floor board, sheets styrene for the side panels, and well worn bucket seats.
crazyrichard Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 nice start !! really makes me want to do a nother one of these myself
