Harry P. Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 NO POLITICS, please. Just a huge "attaboy" to Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie, and friends for playing in front of an estimated half million people in Havana the other day, at no charge, in an effort to bring people together. Way to go, Stones.
Rob Hall Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Great to see them still playing after 50+ years...I saw them in '05 in Vegas and they put on a great 3 hr show.

PowerPlant Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Huge respect to everyone involved in making this concert a reality... I saw the Stones once as a 13 year old kid during their 1998 Bridges to Babylon tour, and to this day it has remained one of my favorite concert-going experiences
花火 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) really happy to see that Cuba and the USA get along well with each other. My mother used to sang a song called 'beautiful havana' long long time ago. I also heard about that in Cuba, there are many beautiful vintage cars in good conditions. talking about the rolling stones, my first college English lesson i learn a passage of them. guess i'll go listen midnight rambler again Edited March 28, 2016 by 花火
Danno Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 FREE concert in the last remaining {NO POLITICS, please} country. Ironic. Not surprising. I wonder if any of the Cuban citizens in the {NO POLITICS, please} Cuban prisons were released so they could attend the {NO POLITICS} FREE concert? Edited to remove politics.Completely non-political statement: Even more surprising the Stones can still function enough to replicate a concert.

I just thought it was a nice gesture for the Stones to play for free for people who had never before had the chance to see them live. And yes... they can still rock the house. And more power to them!
Danno Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Wow, quite a cynical answer. . . . And yes... they can still rock the house. And more power to them! Thank you, Harry! BTW ~ IMHO [That was probably a funny, right there!] ~ Most of their drug-addled peers of that era are either gone or gone. So, yeah. More power to them!
