That's the thing: they used to be called 'Big Tank' cars but a dealer who shall be unnamed pushed 'Tanker' into the venacular.

The big tank cover is in one of the old AMT Corvette annuals, i forget what year. '65 or '66 maybe

The Grand Sport parts came with the '64 coupe.  Parts included hood scoop, rear fender scoops, big tank and Halibrand wheels as I remember.

I still have some of the parts.

I think much of that stuff carried over to the '65, too. I'll have to check when I get home--have unbuilt copies of both.

To me, a "tanker" is a shortened M1 Garand rifle. (They're pretty cool.)

Just checked a mint unbuilt '65 kit. It has all the GS parts mentioned above, as well as the cross-ram Webers.
