HomerS Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 From Yahoo News this morning.....That news broke yesterday when Road & Track reported that the CT8 sedan had been canceledI hadn't looked at any GM products in many years but they had my full attention when they announced the Pontiac G8 truck.....a modern El Camino. Then GM decided to kill off not only the project but the entire Pontiac line. (I did end up buying a 2009 G8). I couldn't afford a CT8 fresh off the line but after a few years it would be affordable.
Quick GMC Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 they have an SS Sedan right now that is pretty cool. Basically a version of the G8
Petetrucker07 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I would really like to get a G8 GT. I've heard it's almost a 4 door GTO. I've heard a few with aftermarket exhaust, they sound awesome.
Quick GMC Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Chevy SS Sedan. 415hp, this is the new G8, been out for a couple yearshttp://www.chevrolet.com/ss-sports-sedan.html
iamsuperdan Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Have to say, it doesn't surprise me. Even though Cadillac are finally making some excellent cars now, people just aren't buying them. yet they can't keep Escalades in stock. The new ATS is a fantastic car, very worthy of being a BMW 3-series competitor. I've leased a fw of these and have spent time with them, and they're great. The CTS has been great for years, and the current gen, now that it's been "embiggened" to compete with the BMW 5-series, is even better than before. We have a few in our rental fleet, and I love driving these! But people just don't buy them. For every Cadillac car we move, we do a dozen Audis. Mention Cadillac to most people, and you get this look of confusion like you've grown a second head. Yet the Escalade has waiting lists and dealers get full price for them all day long. The new SRX replacement arrives soon, and it's already got a waiting list. The sad reality is that trucks and SUVs rule, and the cars get pushed aside. From a business point of view, I get it. But as a driver? Just bring this back...
Tom Geiger Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Dan, its the look I get from people when I say I have a Buick Lacrosse. I get the "old fogey car" cracks. Truth is that it's a nice road car. My wife drives it daily and loves it. We live 2 hrs away from our friends and family so we're constantly making that trip. And I want to be comfortable on that trip!
