Eloveless Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 What's the best way to hang parts when painting? I got the lazy Suzan with the clips but when I paint and clip a side that's been painted it grips to hard and leaves a mark on paint job. I have seen toothpick and tape on here. Any other suggestions that limit fing prints and uneven lines while painting.
Harry Joy Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Anything an everything. Alligator clips, tape, toothpicks, paint brushes, sprue, anything. I always try to find the one place that doesn't show.
peteski Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I have used dozens of methods (whatever works the best for each part). I often use wire insulation stripped from a wire as small tubing to stick small round parts in it (then tape the tubing to a larger piece of wood to hold them. I have also drilled holes into parts and super-glue brass rod to hold them. Here is an example of what I used for one of my builds.
Lunajammer Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Toothpicks and super glue for the little stuff. Bent coat hanger for the bodies.
