This is the Revell Acura NSX from around 1993 or so. It is a nice kit and still holds up well. I built it back when I was in the Navy, then put it away. Time and travel were not kind to it. I came across it by accident the other day and decided to redo it. It's not a glue kit so it can't be called a glue bomb. Maybe a snap bomb? Anyway, it went back together pretty well. I polished most of the scratches out of the windows. The only thing I couldn't fix is that the tires have started to attack the wheels. They are starting to melt just a bit. It was a nice trip down memory lane for me!

That looks nice.  You might could clear coat the wheels so that there is paint barrier between the tires and wheels in an effort to stop the melting.  These are still cool cars - and black is always nice.

Looks nice! love the detail on the seat!   -I had e really old Tokyo Mauri De tomaso Pantera kit that had the rubber tyres "attacking" the wheels and melting them -even through the plating! I've tried putting them on new chrome wheels -started to melt them, I've even tried them on wheels painted with automotive paint -still melted them! Unfortunately, I had two options ; throw the tyres away, or put them on metal wheels.

Such a strange occurrence- wheels melting from a chemical reaction with the tires.
Has anyone ever tried wrapping the outside of the rim with BMF foil?

yes, but it didn't stop it. I think once the melting process starts, it wont stop........its irritatingly weird.
