Mark Haynes Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I dug out my old Prismacolor pencils and did this sketch of a 1977 Pontiac Can Am, one of those odd ball cars that I love. After a 10 year hiatus from drawing and painting, I am slowly getting my mojo back, but I am real interested in new art supplies and doing some air brush and some Photoshop because seeing all the new work around here really inspires me.
crispy Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Beautiful Mark! One of my favorite cars. Such a shame they were such a short run. Chris
CB Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Nice job Mark! I always loved those CanAms too. I've seen your other art and I dig it. I do color pencils and watercolors too. I prefer them because of the blending of colors that you can do with them. The colored pencils are a lot more convienent than the watercolors, and they're also nice for doing details on top of the watercolors too. Nice job of the white on white. Glad you're gettin' yer mojo back Keep 'em coming! ######'n

mikelo Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Nice job of a neat car. I remeber them. Seams like they should have made more of them. Great job with the pencils. Thanks for sharing.
Harry P. Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Nice job! How about the bumpers on those mid-70s babies??? They looked like you could knock down a house with 'em!
gto guy Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) Bieng a Pontiac fan that I am, this piece is very well drawn... I really appreciate seeing Ponch Art. gto guy Edited April 27, 2008 by gto guy
Rob Hall Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Cool..I still remember seeing a new one on the lot as a kid walking to school past Montgomery Pontiac, in Steubenville, Ohio. That's a subject that I've long thought would make a nice kit.
lordairgtar Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Very nice work on the Can Am. Looks better than my drawings, seriously.
