Western North Carolina Car Modeling

Relocating to Western N. Carolina soon. Are there any clubs, contests, swap meets in that area (Asheville, north, south and west )?

I live in Hendersonville NC. and belong to the SCMA ( South Carolina Modelers Asso. ) Spartanburg Chapter about 40 minutes from me. the SCMA meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Masons Hot Rods and Hobby shop at 6:30 pm. would love to show ya round. the SCMA also puts on 4 shows a year one in Spartanburg in January, Simpsonville in may, Lexington in July and Charleston in Oct. we also have the ACME Southern nationals in November in Atlanta. the CKM show in Clemmons NC. there is also a swap meet each year out by Salisbury NC in February. I've been looking for a group for the past year. Live in Cary but will be willing to travel to meet a bunch of modelers who want to share, and talk modeling. Don't get alarmed by my log in I no longer live in Illinois, don't know how to change it!!!!!!

I live in South Asheville. We used to have a nice club when Model Mania was here. Since he moved up north,HobbyTown tried to start one,I believe.

We just got a Hobby Lobby here and it is nice.

Wish we could start a club here.
