It is. That's the biggest visual difference to me. One of them the pleats were horizontal, and the other one was vertical, but I never can remember which is which.

Interesting to know, but since the tires provided in the kits are usually junk anyway, I'd be replacing them with AMT tires, using whatever pattern I determined to go best with my chosen paint scheme, be it stock or otherwise. Thanks for the info, Bill. Right now I'm debating whether or not I even want to consider buying any more car models.

The Revell kit is - in a word - spectacular.

This was built shortly after release ('01?) and it's box stock - something I've yet to do since. 

Great fit, everything short of the lower coolant hose is a breeze to put together. Great trim definition. In my opinion it's in the top ten best kits of all time. My only beef is that it would have cost Revell another twelve cents to add parts to make it a '66 OR '67 and they didn't think to do it.

 

I would not look forward to having to glue the front fender mounted turn signal indicators in place.
