Nick F40 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Bluesman Mark said: Kevin I watched that video & was highly offended at them comparing a monkey to our current "Incompetent In Chief" George Bush. That was very insulting to that poor monkey!!! After all what did it ever do to the makers of that video or to KORN!?! Before anyone gets upset at my comments: It's a joke, get over it!!!! Pretty cool song too BTW, & I've never been a big fan of KORN, (maybe because I'm an "old fart"! ). Killer bass riff in it. nice. It is a good song.
evilone Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 hold on.............................................................................. ......... ok im back i had to go to the bath room that was so funny i was about to ###### myself LOL
lordairgtar Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Interesting, but scientifically, the opinion expressed in the song/video is wrong. Since evolution exists, de-evolution does not. According to science, species evolve to improve or adapt to their habitat. Thus, a species can not go backwards. BTW, a person who does not have the glib speaking ability of say, a Bill Clinton or a Ronald Reagan, is not necessarily a dullard. Dr. Hawkings could not speak at all without the aid of technology, but he was arguably the most intelligent person on the planet.

evilone Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 true true he was a smart individual but as for de-evolution why else would the i.q. levels decrease to addapt is to become smarter as the video proves the less fortunate ones have more kids then the fortunate ones as for our commander and chief he is the stupidest person by far he is the reason that other cuntries hate us right now and why gas costs too much if he was any smarter we would be in a different boat then we are in now he proves this video to be right just my two cents
lordairgtar Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 OK, Maybe Dr. Hawkings was not my most brilliant comparison (and yes, he is still alive, my bad). All through history and in different cultures, the poor have always had more children as they felt that children were their legacy, so to speak. Are IQs really going down, or is it just our schools don't do the job? If IQs were indeed dropping, then please explain people that still have high IQs? Where did Korn get their data? Did they research this themselves? There is so much stuff available to read on line and elsewhere that is specious at best. Who is to know what was spun and what is true? The rest of the world has hated the US long before Bush came into office and he is not the reason gas prices are so high. That is strictly supply and demand, futures speculation, environmental issues like break downs and weather, and just plain greed. What makes you believe that we are entitled to cheap gasoline when the rest of the world pays much more than us. That's pretty arrogant. If any political entity has any control over gas prices, it would be the House and Senate, the actual policy makers, not the president. I have known many people who have immense talent or intelligence but you just cringe at hearing them speak for one reason or another. I had teachers like that. Yes, I cringe too when I hear Bush speak. I know engineers from the various companies we deal with who can devise a machine or tool, but couldn't speak to sell the idea.
MrObsessive Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Greg, you make great points! I'm old enough to remember the nasty gas crisis of 1979-80 when gas had cost as much as today adjusted for inflation. To be fair I seem to remember a different political party running the show back then? Throw in the fact that we haven't built a refinery since the mid '70's due to wacko environmentalism and that's one of the big reasons why we're where we are today. And don't get me started on why we're not drilling for our own oil right here in this country! And yes, one can't deny the fact that the schools don't teach the way they used to..........if they did, most young folks should already know the dynamics of supply and demand. I knew about that as a sixth grader! BTW, my Dad came from a family of 19 (!) and there isn't a dumb one in the bunch!
Hillbilly Deluxe Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Kevin Did you intend to say... no offense(or are you using the british spelling in this posting)? You might wish to use the word offensive in this instance(I don't believe offencful is grammatically correct). Hope this helps,no offense meant. Why don't we just stick with the model building here?
evilone Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 man thanks for correcting me this is actually fun due to the fact that there is a bunch of good arguements(not to offend points)being brought up it makes me feel scientific LOL
Ken Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I would drill through a caribou's head right now to get at the oil in ANWR. Seals? They will stay away from my rig off the coast of Cali or I will shoot them Don't even get me started on global warming... wait, the earth is cooling now, so it is global climate change... or the lie that is ethanol... One thing that I have learned during my stay in journalism is that money talks way better than the actual truth
roadhawg Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I find it reassuring to know that todays generation get their political insight from bad music videos performed by social misfits. Why, they can't even spell corn right!
