maltsr Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Revell kit, Slixx decals, Tamiya Mica Red spraycan paint and Pro Track slot car front wheels. I had a few issues with the decals, quite brittle and wouldn't adhere well to the body. I covered them with two light coats of Tamiya clear, no problems, but a heavy coat caused them to wrinkle. As soon as it was touch dry, I rubbed the paint with a wet finger and amazingly it flattened the decals again, enough to sand lightly and clearcoat again (lightly) until reasonably smooth.
caine440 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Looks really nice.Good job getting the decals to lay down.
futurattraction Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Super clean build. Your paint look fantastic! Nice job "fixing" the decal problems...
W-31 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Gorgeous job! I'm just wondering if those darts actually had power brakes? Think Revell missed that ?
62 Parts Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Hey Paul,I had the exact same problem with Slixx decals for a Hawaiian funny car - you reckon it's because they're so thin? ...anyways you did a masterful job repairing the decal problem
shoopdog Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Awesome job. Paint looks fantastic. Just love those Darts!
