jjsipes Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 (edited) Have any you guys found a decent color match for the raw fiberglass floor pans of a Corvette? Should mention this is a 62 Corvette. Edited July 19, 2016 by jjsipes
JTalmage Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 White paint with yellow createx acrylic dabbed and rubbed in to give it the aged look? friend of mine used that stuff over white paint and it looked almost identical.
Crazy Ed Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 You might want to take a look at Model Master Radome Tan.
jjsipes Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 You might want to take a look at Model Master Radome Tan.I was thinking that or maybe there Modern Desert Sand that I used for interiors on the Moebius Chrysler 300 kits.
Snake45 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Yeah, go see what's available in military tans/yellows/sand shades in your hobby shop. Or look at what's available in acrylic "craft" colors at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or even Walmart. I bet you can find something very close.
jjsipes Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 Here's a picture of Testors Modern Desert Sand
howsthat1959 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I couldn't tell you exactly what I used except it was a mix of mil tans until it looked right to my eye.I'm mainly responding to thank you for going the way it looked like from the factory (instead of black that most models [and many 1:1 cars] seem to get painted with.)
