JTRACING Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 decided to try a ship for something different!I picked up a few of these old revell kit to get started with. first up is the Bounty. airbrushed with craft acrylics. I wanted the masts to be a lighter color than the rest of the wood like an oak looking color so I painted them with flesh craft paint then went over with raw umber oils and some paynes grey to make shadows also went with a bronze figure head, it shows the nice detail in it better than painting it i think
digby Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Nice control of colour and tone ,looking forward to your next installment .regards Digby
JTRACING Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 thanks!, painted up the first mast and stuck on some lines.
afx Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Your weathering and shading is exceptional. I really need to learn these techniques.
