RT6PK Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Can anyone recommend a type of clear coat, (gloss? flat? Testers? Tamiya?) to spray on an old decal sheet to prevent, (or at least minimize the chance) of the decals breaking apart in water?
SfanGoch Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 You can use Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic, sprayed in very light coats. You will need to cut and trim around the individual decals in order to remove them from the sheet.
Snake45 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I like Micro Liquid Decal Film, which is easily applied with either a new Q-tip or even just your fingertip. Works great, no muss, no fuss.
yh70 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 i also use Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic (i get mine at Walmart) as i print most all my decals and have never had a problem . and like Joe said you will have to cut out the decals once u have sprayed them...
