raisin27 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 This one is coming along much faster than the usual for me. I think it may be ready for next weekends INDY show. Its lowered and has Magnum 500 rims. I dont think I have ever seen a car that doesnt look good with Magnums! Spent about 2 hours opening up the grill and being a black car you can hardly even tell. I think I am going to redo the heater hoses, i've decided they would look better with braided hose to match the ones on the radiator. Thanks for looking, Raisin
lorider Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Awesome job on the grill...nice touch of realism. Overall a cool car.
Raul_Perez Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Looking good, Michael! The work on the grille looks as good as the PE part that I used on my '56 DelRay!! Are you planning on using BMF on the side trim or are you going to leave it chrome?
Dave McFly Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 i know a guy in my area who has a 55 bel air hardtop in silver/black just like this model but he has different wheels and the silver is more lighter but i wanna do MY 55 in that color scheme.
Kenny Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 That is coming along nicely! Now I REALLY want to go to Indy.
Tim Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Raisin -- great job! I'm also building the 55, into a mild 210 custom. I plan to grind out the grill, have had some success with it before. Except for the time it took , any surprises? Which kit is yours? Tim
JayVee Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Nice colors, and great job on that grille, that's a lot of work.
