78 El Camino

Got this in a box of parts... ended up having enough to make the whole kit, but it was pretty rough shape so I didn't do a lot of detailing under the hood. And the chrome was spotty, yellowed, and bare in places. Never had built one of these, so I turned it out quick build style.. Color is Testors Blazin Black... I really dig this One Coat line..

i never seen a model of that year el camino i have seen the 86 kit  and the 68 and 66 and 65 kits but did not know they made this year nice work looks awesome

Both Mpc as Monogram had the '78 El Camino, Monogram had two versions, a molded in black "Black Knight" stock kit and a molded in red El Macho, with another grille, camper top, and hood with a small air intake.

The built looks like a combination of both Monogram kits

It was released thru monogram and revell... There's a 78 w/ camper, a royal knight, one w/ bass boat, and 2 lowriders (a 3n1 that can be built stock and royal knight, camper custom, and lowrider. And also a 2n1). I have several of the lowrider kit in my stash, but have never built one til now.
