oldcarfan Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 This probably applies to only a small group of us from Texas, but I thought I would put it out there. Hastings is a small Texas based bookstore chain that is going out of business. They mostly were in the small cities. Why should we care, you ask? Well, they have all books and magazines marked down to 70% off. I found a couple of hot rod books and the latest edition of Rodder's Journal there. Not bad for $2. I also found out something I had never noticed. The last couple of years they had been experimenting with carrying model cars and collectibles. The store I went to had been picked pretty clean, but they did have several Revell Mustangs, a bunch of Snap Tites and quite a bit of Testors paint. I bought 3 of the Revell 29 A's just because and the snap kit Raptor to make a modern-day Lightning out of. They were all 50% off. The lady I talked to said they will be dropping to 70% off soon. Anyway, if you are driving through Texas and see one, it might be worth stopping to see if they have anything left.
Joe Handley Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Sorry to hear another book store is going the way of the dodo bird.
