DeeCee Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) Working on the Revell 68 "special edition" Hemi Dart, and trying to fit the Aoshima BBS wheels under it. As you can see, NOT A CHANCE!! So, with a little help from a donor WRC Corolla, it's gonna work.. I hope.. Edited November 14, 2016 by DeeCee
crazyrichard Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 cool build , rims are cool and could make it into a modern undercarridge and look etc .. not sure bout those arches ! too round and imo it would be better to narrow the axle and make the tubs bigger , that would really make it brutal .. the arches have a high risk of ruining the squareness of the car
DeeCee Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 Cheers Richard, i have mini tubed it, and they still stick out. As usual, i want something different, and my 1:1 has this style of flare, so i suppose i just want to try something , to see if i can mate. Thanks for the input. Left one stock, right one has been raised and moved inboard, i don't want full tubs on this one.
DeeCee Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 Got the fender flares done, the wheels fit perfectly now.
EL LOCO Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Nice looking build. Looks like those flares have worked out well. See how its looks painted...have you decided on a colour yet????

Thanks, i like the look of them, and i am going a burnt redish gold.......bit hard to describe the color really, stay tuned, i got some paint down today..so wont be long..
MeatMan Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Way to work it DC!! I like where this is going!
DeeCee Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 cool..the rims wil make it pop. ......nice Sure will mate, its polishing out very nicely. Well, i got the interior done, tried a few things differently, like doing all the stitching with thread, and suede inserts as well.. Some BMF thrown in there as well.
72 Charger Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Nice work Dale . I like what you did with the body . Those rims are killa too
mrm Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 I like that interior. What is going to be the body color?
DeeCee Posted November 9, 2016 Author Posted November 9, 2016 I like that interior. What is going to be the body color? Thanks guys, it's slowly moving on.Michael, if you look at the interior pic, there is a Diff housing in the background, that is the color i will be doing the body in.It is a burnt reddish bronze , if that makes sense, it changes shades depending on the light.

The interior color should be complimenting it very well.
espo Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Very impressive interior. The fender flairs complement the body lines without making them the focal point.
426-Hemi Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Yet another WILD build from the depths of DeeCee's hardheaded brain...... And he asks me if I'm "off" my meds at times....... LOL Looks like Dale is off HIS meds this round! That interior is PROOF of that statement!! BUT, I gotta say that interior is down-right A-W-E-S-O-M-E.... That thread-work you did is just plain out & out AWESOME detail for that interior!!!! And then, the body work too? WOWZER!!!!! I love the way the fenders down't protrude excessively and look GREAT, as some fender flaring looks down right absurd, this one how you went about it? PERFECTLY executed! Like me, your always out to do something WAY outside of the box! -Like my "Doomz Day" build!
crazyrichard Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 now worked into the body they look great !
DeeCee Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 now worked into the body they look great ! Thanks guys, Richard, ya just got to have faith in the vision mate...
