I have a resin GT Hawk which is made to be built on a Starliner frame. I thought I'd use an Avanti because I have at least two but it won't work without a lot of mods. I've been cruising the bay looking for a junk Starliner or a new one for a reasonable price. Do all the versions have the same chassis? I asked Round 2 but they haven't answered.

Yes. Every issue of the AMT '53 Starliner is nearly identical to the best of my knowledge. I've owned/opened at least four different releases. It is not a hard kit to find, it's been popular over the years.

AMT's 1953 Studebaker Starliner hardtop kit is one of the most plentiful of the AMT Trophy Series kits--it's been reissued at least half a dozen times since it first hit the shelves in 1964--the latest release was just a couple of years ago, from Round2--should not be at all hard to find, eBay, or model car swap meets.
