landman Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I have a resin GT Hawk which is made to be built on a Starliner frame. I thought I'd use an Avanti because I have at least two but it won't work without a lot of mods. I've been cruising the bay looking for a junk Starliner or a new one for a reasonable price. Do all the versions have the same chassis? I asked Round 2 but they haven't answered.
Jantrix Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Yes. Every issue of the AMT '53 Starliner is nearly identical to the best of my knowledge. I've owned/opened at least four different releases. It is not a hard kit to find, it's been popular over the years.
Art Anderson Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 AMT's 1953 Studebaker Starliner hardtop kit is one of the most plentiful of the AMT Trophy Series kits--it's been reissued at least half a dozen times since it first hit the shelves in 1964--the latest release was just a couple of years ago, from Round2--should not be at all hard to find, eBay, or model car swap meets.Art
