CarlR Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 This is my attempt at the Revell "Baron and his funfdecker Fokker" I liked the idea of pipes but I didn't care for the look of the V-8 and scoop so I modifiedthe pipes to look as if they were attached to the aircraft engine instead. Technically impossibleI know but visually, it works! The decal sheets comes with generic "doghouse" kill markings but I wanted a little moreauthenticity for the Baron's victories. I reduced in size a number of images of our favouriteWorld War I flying ace that I found on the net and applied them to fuselage with white glue. Building this kit was a good bit of fun - a pleasant revisiting of those days when model building wasfun and relaxing!
TooOld Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Nice job Carl , you've added a couple of minor details that really make it look great ! I never cared for Hemi version either and using the exhaust like you did looks good to me !
cobraman Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Looks like you did a very nice job on that kit.
Dragline Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Very well done. I built one a year ago and it was relaxing and fun. It's posted here somewhere.
unclescott58 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Very nice job. I too built one a few months back. Other than paint and one added decal, I built mine box stock. The one additional decal was a small peace symbol I placed on the molded in wing patch that I painted white. And I built mine with both engines. Overall a very fun kit to build.
