aurfalien Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Hi,Wondering if any one knows of a 1/25-1/24 Scarab MK4 engine source? The intakes looks very unique.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) Are you doing the Reventlow version with the Buick or the Mecom version with the Chevy? The later smallblock Chevy-engined version uses side-draft Weber carbs. The setup could be represented by the Accurate Miniatures Corvette Grand Sport induction system.Actually, that whole engine is kinda a work of art (the AM Corvette GS smallblock Chebby). Do you think the AMT IMSA Camero would be a slightly better starting point engine wise, or at least not a worse one?
RancheroSteve Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I seem to recall that I used the engine from the Craig Carter IMSA Camaro on this one. It's only a curbside, so not much of it shows. Are you building yours "full detail"?
MonoPed Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I built an insert from some leftover resin stacks, and attached them to the underside of the body. Since its still a curbside, it enough to suggest there's an engine under there.
