Tom Geiger Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Okay... anyone watch Alaska, The Last Frontier with the Kilcher family? One of the family members drives this rig around the wilderness. Obviously started out as a US made light truck but the only thing left is the grill and hood. The rest of the body is gone, and a purposeful vehicle was created. Gotta love it! Photos were shot from the TV screen so they are a bit less than optimal. The grill is obscured behind a brush guard so I can't do an absolute ID. My first thought was IH Scout... still I haven't a clue. And while on this photo, what kit tires (or aftermarket) would you use to build this? Maybe the inner fender is a good clue? I know the heater motor sits right in the position of the hole on a Scout. How about this steering wheel and dashboard? Yea, I feel a model coming on!

Atmobil Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I agree with the others, looks like a ca 1978 IH Scout II
Chuck Most Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Yep, Scout II. Specifically a late style ('77-'79) Scout II. No doubt in my mind.
