Hey everyone im just about finished a 70 challenger t/a ,wandering how to go about putting on the rear spoiler on deck lid ,there is no grove in center of spoiler to match deck lid so spoiler doesn't sit flush got a really good paint job don't want to screw it up trying to put on this spoiler,,any sugestions greatly appriciated

Couple of pin drops of white glue or window glue should do the trick...

 

Right. I just used Elmer's (or maybe it was Tacky Glue) to install the spoiler on a '69 Camaro. Worked great!

I would start making a slot in the spoiler, if you sand carefully, you might keep the paint on the spoiler. When the spoiler sits flush, apply glue, clear paint or drill holes in both spoiler and decklid and put a little piece of wire into the holes. I basically do that to 'appendages', like spoilers, mirrors and doorhandles.
