KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL - 1937 to 2021

Uniforms changed very little; badges the same; door shields changed only very briefly in the early 2000s, but the outcry was so immediate and intense that they went back to the traditional badge seen here.  

I don't know of any other agency that has used the same door shield for virtually its entire 84 years!

First pic is my grandfather in the drivers seat in their down hill racer that the neighborhood kids built back in the mid 20s. Second is my father (tall guy in the back) letting the neighbor take his Indian for a ride.
