Hi guys, I will be going to Atlanta at the end of Jan. for work and will have a few days off. Any words on hobby shops to visit would be welcomed.

Thanks

There's a big Hobbytown USA in Kennesaw, northwest of Atlanta, and if you want the best hobby shop in the region, you have to drive up to Blue Ridge to Free Time Hobbies. Excellent shop, excellent selection, great prices.

Second that, and Free Time is a nice family run business.  It's a ways from Atlanta, and while both are on the same route, there is plenty else to do and see along the way.  If you go, you'll pass Bigun's BBQ on the highway on the right - recommended.

Do any of these places have easy access to the interstate and truck parking? :)

Yes. Hobbytown is right off of I-75 in a major shopping center, Free Time is along the major 4 lane highway running through Blue Ridge.

Atlanta is a very large region, spreads out for miles and traffic is a nightmare. Allow plenty of travel time. Try B&B Hobby 1142 Athens Hwy. Ste 107. Grayson Ga.30017. Lots of kits, scratch building plastic, great paint selection.
