dragstk Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Hi all; While looking for tires for a build, I came across these in the parts box. But I have no idea what kit they came from The sidewall says GoodYear Eagle F1. The rears are slightly taller and wider than the fronts. They must be scaled for a 18-20" rim, because any 15" wheel I put in it falls right through Any help would be most appreciated Thanks Jeff

John Pol Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 those tires would be in a newer corvette kit
Casey Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Those appear to be AMT tires, based on the semi-clunky looking tread blocks. If so, they were in some early 2000s kits, but I can't say exactly which. The reissued AMT 1962 T-bird included Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, though they had a thin whitewall(!) on one side:
dragstk Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Thanks for the replies and info, guys. Unfortunately, I dont have any Corvette kits, so I dont think mine came from one of them. Casey, mine are black wall on both sides., so that rules out the T Bird kit.I'll keep searching. Thanks to all you replied
Steven Zimmerman Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I believe those tires were in the 'street machine' duster, with the Viper 5 spoke wheels and the Viper - style intake on a small block V8 Mopar engine.
bogger44 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The Revell 99 Mustang Cobra and Saleen Speedster kits had those as well, I don't recall if they had different sizes for fronts and rears though. I want to say the Monogram 55 F100 (with the 5 spoke billet-type wheels) had them too?
dragstk Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Thanks Steve and Tony. I might have that Duster kit, I'll have to check it out. And the F100 has a possibility. Thanks for the leads
