PARTSMARTY Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Does anybody have any feedback on model car world resin kits?
droogie Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I bought one of their 61 Chevy Biscayne bodies, As I recall the A pillars looked a little thick, but otherwise I thought it was decent value for the money. I'd say that it is closely comparable in quality to resin bodies I have from Modelhaus and Motor City resins. I didn't put calipers to it or examine it under a microscope so I can't comment on if there are any accuracy issues.
mikemodeler Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I have a couple of kits from Dave and I would say they are better than most resins out there. Minimal flash, consistent thickness and accurate dimensions. I would order again if I found something in their line I wanted.
High octane Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I have a few of MCW's resin kits and they look alright in my book. I have one started and should get off my butt and this keyboard and finish it. I would buy resin cars from MCW again.
Sport Suburban Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I have about 10 of his kits. All are buildable with some texture and no chrome plating. They are a great value for the price but I would not say they are as good as Modelhaus. One nice thing about his kits. They have instructions on what donor parts are needed and what version to look for or if more that one donor is needed.
