CometMan Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Yes, that is an AMT kit. I've never tried, but I see no reason why the parts from any '59 Impala that aren't El Camino specific wouldn';t work on it.
michaelbaskett Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Every 59 Camino kit AMT ever made came from the same mold....Part interchanging will not be a problem at all....
espo Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 You might list on the forum in the Wanted section and see what's out there. It may be easier to find a Revell '59 Chevy hood, but I'm sure it would need a little modification to fit. I like the camper, and I don't remember it being in the issues I have. The Canoe and Boat, where they something you created or are they part of another kit ?
Mark Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 The camper originated with the '65 El Camino annual kit; it was included in one issue of the '59. It doesn't really fit the '59 very well.
Greg Myers Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Just my opinion . . . I would keep the glue bomb just the way it is, a picture into the past.If you're really that jazzed about the '59 El Camino, buy a new kit.Don't have the money? Save up, it's worth it and besides you're starting with all new stuff, you'll love it.Got tons in my stash, a really great kit, full of all kinds of extra stuff.
