dalessalvage Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I was wondering if anyone could tell me if rust-oleum American accents spray paint will work on plastic models
Ramfins59 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Welcome to our plastic playground Dale. I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question, but I have to mention that my brother lives in Laconia (Lakeport). It has been quite a few years since I have been up there in that beautiful country.
D. Battista Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 No help here either.... But welcome to the forum Dale...!
Plastic_Passion Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Dale, first let me say welcome sorta local neighbor. Your not far from me. And second, if you haven't found our the answer to this it really shouldn't be a problem. I use rustoleum sprays quite a bit. The only issue I have is that semi gloss and gloss black seem to take for-ev-ver to cure.
426-Hemi Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I was wondering if anyone could tell me if rust-oleum American accents spray paint will work on plastic modelsFirst off Welcome aboard Neighbor! I'm not to far from my myself! Secondly, yes ANYTHING "Rustoleum" will/should stick to plastic! Just spray light coats at a little more then the required distance due to the thickness of spray coming out of the can! Add a little time to the amount given for drying too! -You should be good to go!

glusnifr Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I was wondering if anyone could tell me if rust-oleum American accents spray paint will work on plastic modelsi used a can of accents ,over krylon grey primer ,it worked fine
redneckrigger Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Yup, I have used them as well........................I decant it into a jar so I can spray it through my airbrush. I use it over Mr. Surfacer gray primer, wet sanded for a smooth undercoat. Flows like liquid glass.
