Back to the original topic. I did some quick research and found out that Congress actually stopped passing legislation for special days a while back but today mayors, cities, towns and states can declare their own.

There are sites that for a fee will help you declare a Day, month etc, This apparently includes notifying the media. Or as the link reads you can just do it yourself.

So if we or someone else wanted a National Model Day what day and how inclusive should it be (National Plastic Model Day National Model Building Day etc etc ?

Should someone start a poll on date and title ?

International Model Car Builders Day will be April 22 this year.  There will be a large peaceful assembly of supporters in Wayne, New Jersey on that day.  It will be covered by the model car media.
