I would avoid leaving the clear plastic masking on the body very long. I used this method once and the plastic wrap reacted with the paint on the main body, it was a mess. Normally, Tamiya tape is very forgiving in this type of situation. I've had the same problem with Testors silver, gold & copper spray enamels many years ago. Back to the drawing board, huh? Dusted1972 Posted February 1, 2017 Share Posted February 1, 2017 (edited) Aww That's heart breaking and it was looking great too .This happened to me also when I was doing my Acura.If you do it right away,a dip in purple power degreaser for a day or so should take that paint right off and back down to plastic.
