A question for the (other) old farts on here. What 1:1 wheel was the optional wheel that came in the late 60s MPC Coronets and Chargers through the early 70s? I don't remember seeing them on real cars.

They're Cragar "GT Plus" wheels. Shelby used them on some GT 350s around '66. They also did a version with the steel rim and aluminum center as opposed to the all aluminum  in this old ad. They started selling them again as the "500" IIRC.

Thanks Steve.  I was aware of the Shelby wheel, but somehow didn't connect the two as the same wheel.

Working on a 50th anniversary tribute build, and I was thinking about using those wheels.
