In the car I am recreating the dash and console has turned metal or prism effect on it. I am looking to find some to help in this recreation. either a decal or way to do it.

Thanks

Tim

For my decades-ago stock '57 T-bird, I put a small diameter brass rod into my motor tool that had a polished flat end to it, and lightly bopped it spinning onto some rectangles of Bare Metal Foil. Took a while to do after practicing first, didn't turn out especially bad.

YEARS AGO IN THE DISCO ERA, REAL TRANS AMS HAD THIS TYPE OF PRISM DECAL OR STICKER ON THE DASHBOARD. YOU COULD BUY IT FROM CAL CUSTOM ?BACK THEN. TRY MICHAELS, HOBBY LOBBY OR AN ART SHOP IN YOUR AREA. ALSO TRY LOOKING IN THE SCRABOOK SECTION WITH 8 X 10 PAPER SHEETS YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT DESIGN YOU CAN FIND.   IN MODEL CARS,  THE 1/25  AMT BARRIS ISSUES OF THE 66 MUSTANG IN 1978? ( GREEN CAR ON COVER  AND GREEN PLASTIC INSIDE) HAD A SHEET OF THIS INCLUDED IN THE KIT. THE SCALE MIGHT BE OFF , THOUGH!!!!

TIM, IT WAS PLASTI DIP METALIZER IN  A SPRAY CAN. YOU BEST BET IS TO COPY THE IMAGE AND MAKE IT IN CARD STOCK OR DECAL. THEN MAKE A TEMPLATE. THEN GLUE IT IN.
