midwest 1953 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I was in Michaels today waiting for the wife to get her scrapbooking supplies, and looking at their limited selection of models.... Anyone notice that whoever built the boxart model, put the front wheel inserts on the back, and back ones on the front??
mackinac359 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 That backwards wheel issue was on the original issue boxart from the early 70s! Tim
Chariots of Fire Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 That backwards wheel issue was on the original issue boxart from the early 70s! Tim I don't think it was, Tim. I have several unopened kits of both the red and yellow versions as well as the Chicago piece and they are on right. This latest reissue is the only one I have seen where the wheels are backwards. Does make you wonder, though what people are thinking who put these box art pieces together!
Aaronw Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Is this a decent kit? I have had one in my stash for quite sometime but have never built it because of the odd scale (1/32). I have seen quite a few that came out very nice but don't know if it was a chore to get it that way. Lindberg's American LaFrance would complement the Mack nicely if you wanted something of similar scale to sit next to it.

The Aurora is a much better model than the Lindberg in my opinion.
RyanSilva Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 You can cut the back half off the mack..and use it as a pumper/rescue truck in 1/25 just replace the cab.
