I was in Michaels today waiting for the wife to get her scrapbooking supplies, and looking at their limited selection of models....

Anyone notice that whoever built the boxart model, put the front wheel inserts on the back, and back ones on the front?? :P

That backwards wheel issue was on the original issue boxart from the early 70s!

Tim

I don't think it was, Tim. I have several unopened kits of both the red and yellow versions as well as the Chicago piece and they are on right. This latest reissue is the only one I have seen where the wheels are backwards. Does make you wonder, though what people are thinking who put these box art pieces together!

Is this a decent kit?

I have had one in my stash for quite sometime but have never built it because of the odd scale (1/32). I have seen quite a few that came out very nice but don't know if it was a chore to get it that way. Lindberg's American LaFrance would complement the Mack nicely if you wanted something of similar scale to sit next to it.

The Monogram Mack and Aurora ALF would look good together. The Aurora is a much better model than the Lindberg in my opinion.
