Geno Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) Making slow but steady progress LOL. This will be a curbside model as I'm using the 427 from this kit for my Two Lane Blacktop '55. The engine you see the bottom of is a partial build since the hood isn't opening. I think those '69 SS wheels look pretty darn good on it, they aren't mounted yet as I need to sand the treads on the other two, just on for test fitting LOL. As a reminder, this is what this kit started out as. Edited March 13, 2017 by Geno
espo Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Very nice paint finish. I didn't realize that was the old Monogram kit. That makes it that much more impressive.
Geno Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 Thanks Dave, It's been a challenge so far but a lot of fun trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear LOL.
High octane Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I'm likin' it Gene, and the '66 is my favorite year Chevelle.
Geno Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Thanks guys, Nick, it's my favorite year Chevelle as well, I just think it looks the meanest of all the Chevelle's. Thanks Richard, I haven't even wet sanded or polished it yet. It should really pop then. It's amazing how easy it was to modify the '64 GTO chassis for this build. Edited March 12, 2017 by Geno
Geno Posted March 17, 2017 Author Posted March 17, 2017 Anybody have a headlight/grille/bumper for one of these? Mine is pretty much trash. Thanks.
