mikemodeler Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 I remember seeing a resin wrecker body kit for a 1 ton truck that resembled a 70's era body but can't find it anywhere! Does anyone know who offers that kit? I want to say it was one of the guys from the Detroit resin group but did not see it anywhere on a website so maybe I am imagining things? Thanks in advance, Mike

disabled modeler Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Mike... You could always use a Revell Midnight Cowboy wrecker kits bed. I need one of those as well for a project.
Kris Morgan Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Contact Jeff at Motor City Resin Casters. Cannot remember if he has added it to his site yet but, pretty sure that is the one you are talking about. It is very nice.

I think I had a PM from Jeff at one time about the resin bed, something about not being able to update his website but it was available. I have several of his resin castings, as nice as any plastic mass produced kit!
mikemodeler Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 I heard back from Jeff Ballard at MCRC, he does offer the resin wrecker bed kit, $50 plus shipping. He casts to order so it will be a 7 weeks or so before I see it but his stuff is so good, the wait is worth it!
gotnitro? Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 glad you were able to find It ! The recovery trucks are always fun to build
leafsprings Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) Yes, I purchased on of these from MCRC, they are great to deal with and offer excellent products. We are really fortunate to have people in the hobby who are filling the large void left by the big model companies. With the Moebuis '71 Ford longbed and Scenes Unlimited dually wheels, your set for this photo to become a reality! Edited March 19, 2017 by leafsprings
oter11 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 here is a another one: i dont know who did make this transkit
tonye66 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 That Holmes bed is awesome. Picked it up at a show a couple years ago. Was building a 70s Dodge wrecker but got stuck on some issues with frame width and I put it on the back burner
