Any one do decal services?

Hi,

Does any one do or know of some one that can do custom decals?

I'm specifically looking for an Italian flag being green/white/red in 8" long by 1/4" wide.  The length is vertical so the width is horizontal.

The need for white prevents me from printing it on laser/ink jet.

The base color underneath shows through.

Hence I'd need an Alps printer etc... as white is no color really but an Alps will spray white.

I've tried before w/o much success.

BTW my base color is blue.

I've not had the problem of the base coat showing through the white decal. How old is your decal paper?

Plan B: paint a slightly over-size white stripe on the area for the decal, then print & lay a clear decal over that.

It sounds like you were trying clear-film decal paper. Alps white "ink" is not any more opaque than white (not clear) decal paper.   The other colors of the flag will be translucent and also need a white undercoat to show properly when applied to a colored car body.

Since this basically a long and thin 3-color stripe, can't you just mask and paint it?
