Rotorbolt73 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Excellent work! One of my favorite Chevelle kits. I also convert them from flip nose back to stock. Most of the time I just fill in the hood with flat sheet to make it a Malibu standard hood. looks like you used a Revell 66 wagon for the donor and the Monogram 70 Chevelle for the wheels/ tires. Last one I built, I used the engine bay from a monogram 64 GTO and the front frame/suspension clip from the Lindberg 66 Chevelle to convert the front back to stock.
geewhiz Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Stunning conversion from a sow's ear to a silk purse, Geno!!!?
W-409 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Wow, a lot of work went into that conversion! Looks like you did an excellent job with it, the bodywork looks flawless and the overall look is just right too. Nice job!

Thank you all for the kind words, I truly do appreciate it. You nailed it Matt on the conversion parts. I did however use the whole '64 GTO chassis since they shared the same platform, it fit like a glove. Edited May 20, 2017 by Geno
