hpiguy
Video review of the rereleased Stroker McGurk Ghost of America Flying Car. Neat retro kit, in 1/18 scale. Loe parts count should make for a quick build.Fit of the major parts is still good after all these years.https://youtu.be/g2SnQbZ0DIc

waynehulsey
This is a reissue? Don't remember it at all. But then I didn't pay much attention to that kind of stuff then. What year was it originally?
Mark
'64 or '65 (note the early MPC logo)...probably one of the earliest kits marketed under the MPC brand.
waynehulsey
Did find a listing with MPC code 104 which if memory serves would mean it was the 4th in the series. Remember the motorized surf board (which I think was the 1st) and the Tall T Telephone Booth. Original box art didn't have Hot Rod Mag logo, just said hot rodders.Would guess that would push it into late 65 or maybe 66. Was graduating from high school, workingl and getting ready to take off to college, so wasn't paying as much attention to new releases (especially out of my range) then. Also was boxed by Airfix. RatRod
I only picked up one of these, but grabbed two of the Stroker and his surf rod kits!!! I only think MPC did the three kits with Stroker, I'm pretty sure the Tall-T was done before the Carl Casper Phone Booth, and is why we won't see it reissued. waynehulsey
You're probably right about only 3 Stroker kit, but think their surfer (Hot Curl?) kits were numbered in the same series. I remember there being 2 (maybe 3) of those.
Vince Nemanic
what is the diameter of the wheels and tires? I may need one of these for a project.
