It's a 'Future Release' and 'Pre-order' deal at Autoworld.

My comments are:

I owned a White/GMC Road Boss II for a brief moment.

Detroit 8V92 Road Ranger transmission. Turbocharger over Suipercharger(the big one).

Those are the engines you let off the throttle and they make a rapid 'Rap-Rap-Rap'.

That's because they are two stroke engines.

This is a neat kit. From the old days.

The engine in this kit is a  four stroke Cummins NHC 250, if you want a two stroke Detroit Diesel there are other truck kits with them, the 8V-92T is in the recently reissued Tyrone Malone Papa Truck Kenworth K100 Aerodyne Transporter.

Round 2 reissued the White Freightliner Single Drive kit just a little while ago and I have a couple of the Dual Drive allready, but I think I will get one of these anyway.

Box art trucks look great, however its what's in the box that counts. This kit should have been corrected to match the box art before the reissues ( front end + fenders  ) . Is that too much to ask?

I see what you mean. The box art has the proper position for the headlights, while the kit itself has the headlights way to high up. I am experiencing this with my own build on this kit. It would have been nice to have that issue fixed..

This WF was completed around 20 years ago,  I'm not a pro builder, just wanted something that looked more correct.  a   I cut off material under head lights and rounded out the fenders, No putty was used. In doing this,  the truck looks  more like a late 60's WF without the built in cab step. Should have sanded the reflector off and added a more period correct round one. Oh, well, next one will be a little better.
