chris731 Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 PL's kit. Pretty much out of the box build with some minor details added. A great kit. Thanks for looking.
Daniel Peterson Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Thanks for the comments.. I honestly can't recall this series of kits being referred to as "great" by builders I've spoken to or those I've seen post comments about it. I guess it's just a matter of perspective. It's up to the builder to control how sweet a batch of lemonade they can make from the lemons they have. Whether this is a "good" kit or a "bad" kit is academic. You did a wonderful job crafting it. It's gorgeous!
cotto Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Great workmanship on this piece my friend, surely looks more than just boxstock.
Raul_Perez Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Nice build, Chris!! You just can't beat a cleanlt built SOHC engine!!
chris731 Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Thanks all for the comments. This car was one of my favorites growing up. My next FC kit I'm trying to grab is the Blue Max. Another favorite I grew up with.
Fleetside Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Great job, that car was one of my favorites too, all the Gas Ronda cars were. I grew up in Covina California. My Dad bought a 1970 Torino from Russ Davis Ford. So it was kind of like the home team.
cj112674 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 nice build, very nice! kind of fooled me, i didnt expect the body to lft, didnt even know it was a drag till the pic with the body up..lol..nice job!
Andy Wyatt Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I've only built one PL funny car and I thought the kit was pretty nice. There were some pieces on the chrome tree that got stripped in CSC and the plastic became very brittle and the instruction sheet was a little vague but there were no fit issues to speak of and I thought the detail was pretty good as well. You certainly did a great job with yours!
