gtx6970 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Just an update, I have found a buyer ( not the local guy) who offered me a very reasonable price for the whole lot. While I could have waited 6 weeks until the next model show around here and MAYBE made as much, I am accomplishing a much needed task more easily and cleanly.Going forward, I will be really thinking through any model kit purchase as I realized buying up that many kits only to never even opening most of them was foolish and costly. I will only buy what I will truly build and not have kits for the sake of having kits.Good for you. I came to that conclusion just a couple years ago. My buying got EXTREMLY selective .
mikemodeler Posted July 11, 2017 Author Posted July 11, 2017 Good for you. I came to that conclusion just a couple years ago. My buying got EXTREMLY selective .Yeah Bill, I started getting a more realistic view of model buying when I was out of work in December 2015, but I found myself buying kits at Ollie's and the clearance section at Hobby Lobby thinking it wasn't as bad because I was buying them "cheaper". The reality is that with all of the WIPs and selected models that I am holding on to, I still have too many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am going to go through some of my OOP kits and ask myself the hard question of "Are you really going to build that?" and probably get rid of the ones that I won't be building.
Bob Ellis Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Depends on how much you paid for the kits. I guess if you paid too much you are going to lose no matter.
Viking Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 I have a 1970 super b model still in the box does it have value?
